St Bees 150th Anniversary
July 2016 saw the 150th anniverary of the opening of St Bees Methodist Church, and we held special events over the weekend of 16-17 July to celebrate. Many thanks to everyone who attended the Strawberry Tea, Anniversary Service and Songs of Praise celebration. It was great to see so many people in the church.
Please see the gallery below for some photos.
The Church is open every day - come in, look around and enjoy a time of peace and quiet.
If you fancy a walk around the village, have a look at the Prayer walk - click here. It takes less than an hour!
We are a Fairtrade Church, with St Bees working towards being a Fairtrade village.
Founded in approximately 1863 and formally opened in 1866, this is now the oldest church in the circuit. For a potted history, based on extracts from the Church Trustees Minute Books, please click here.
